Making healthier choices can impact on every aspect of the day to day work environment. Strategic workplace health and wellness can result in fewer injuries, greater productivity and a more harmonious office environment. It also sends a strong message to employees that your business is committed to their health and well-being.
Workplace health and wellbeing strategies are recognised by New Zealand businesses for increasing morale and loyalty, and playing a part in the organisation’s appeal to new employees.
TriEx Wellness considers the organisation and the people central to the business. We work step by step to ensure each step in the strategy is aligned with the culture of the organisation and is meaningful to those involved.
TriEx provides a range of services from consulting to health screening, creating a starting point for your workplace. We work to ensure relevant and realistic goals are set and provide both the know-how and creative support for the wellness strategy implementation, measure and effectiveness.

RELAX - Canterbury employers look for aged methods to address new challenges
Employees and employers alike are finding it increasingly difficult to be relaxed at work due to the earthquakes of the past ten months. Many workplaces have offered trauma support but the latest spate of aftershocks call for us to address the issues of fatigue, long term stress, acute tiredness and in turn the ability to be both well and effective at work. Research has shown that with only 10 to 15 minutes of meditation each day, employees can be much more productive and promote much safer workplaces.
Many Christchurch Managers are now sourcing the necessary expertise and support to make a holistic change through the offering of relaxation and meditation techniques to keep employees well. International companies such as Apple Computers, Yahoo, and Google actively encourage their employees to practice relaxation or meditation, from executives down to the factory floor. After exercise, relaxation has been shown as the number one factor in improving performance and health.
Many large business places now employee relaxation specialists in the workplace to conduct classes focusing on a non-spiritual or -religious approach of meditation in an effort to lower stress levels and boost productivity; it has been shown that less mistakes are made after meditation/relaxation sessions. Apart from the stress relief, it has also been noted that when people are relaxed there is less likelihood of injury and accidents. The number of sick days taken by staff also fell dramatically with the benefits of meditation such as the lowering of blood pressure, the strengthening of the immune system and general feelings of well being increasing more and more with regular sessions.
TriEx offers relaxation/breathing and meditation as part of its wellness portfolio. http://triex.co.nz/workplace-health-2/your-workplace-health-and-wellness-options/
